Personality:

Sylvia at a first glance is an independent and bright young woman with an upbeat personality. She brings life and energy into her conversations with people and is often seen wearing a smile on her face. Her status as an Agent is a mark of strength, intelligence, and fortitude to those who inhabit New Lodgins. She gives off the impression that she's an unstoppable force; but those who know her are aware that there's a lot going on behind her bubbly exterior due to the events that lead to her pausing her life as an Agent.

The combination of Cai's death and Squad Epsilon's disbandment lead to Sylvia feeling a lot of guilt that has yet to be resolved. She feels at least partially responsible for both and her mind tends to wander back to "what ifs" -- what if she'd reacted faster, what if she just toughed things out and stuck with the Agency -- and how her life might've been different if she was just a little better. This mentality stems from the perfectionist habits she picked up as an Agent-in-training, and as a result, Sylvia is a little too comfortable with being self-critical. She feels like the only way she can make things up to Cai is by investigating the falsehoods of Charm magic in order to keep it from happening to anyone else, as that will give both Cai and Epsilon the justice they all deserve. Still, she's convinced that Cai's death will haunt her for the rest of her life -- it's why she does her best to make it a point to....try to not think about it much to begin with.

It's actually unusual that she chooses to deal with her guilt in this manner, even if it does make sense, because Sylvia typically chooses to face her problems head-on and push through them. And when I say push, I mean bulldoze. Sometimes it works! For example, when she went through physical training, she'd work out every day to build up her body and her stamina, which helped her in passing her physical Agent exams. Other times it kind of backfires on her. When the pressure's on and Sylvia really, desperately wants something, she works herself to the bone and wears herself out. She's especially hard on herself during these times and will look absolutely drained and miserable when she thinks nobody's watching.

The strange part about her hard-working, perfectionist tendencies is that these are in relation to her own standards, which sometimes happen to line up with others'. For the most part though, she lives life by her own rules and expectations. One of her favorite parts about being an Agent was not having to follow the law if it meant achieving their goals. In that sense, she can be rather reckless and show little regard for the rules if they're in the way, say, during her pursuit of a guilty party. She's mostly an "ends justify the means" sort of gal, though that doesn't mean that she's a malicious person by any means. She's just very, very turbo and acts impulsively.

Despite her recklessness and need to live life by her own rules, she does genuinely care about other people. She's a lot more selfless than she used to be thanks to Cai, considering that she spent most of her life only really considering her own needs and wants (and her mother's and Melanie's, too). She wants to solve the mysteries behind Cai's Charm because she doesn't want to see anyone else suffer the same fate as her. She sees the worth in helping others and lifting them up, especially when it's during a mission. She's more energized when she's got something to work towards, and she prefers to use that energy in a positive manner. It makes her feel good and it makes others feel good, too.

That's because at her core, aside from the guilt and fear, Sylvia wants to create and hold onto good memories. When she isn't tired or hard at work, she's fun, vibrant, and sweet as long are you are. She's more easygoing and relaxed when she isn't being weighed down by stress. Even though her relationships with Melanie and Justin are on the rocks, Sylvia found new companionship with Bailey -- and she definitely does want to make amends with the other two when she can. If she's thrown into an environment where she doesn't have to fixate on her goals, she's sociable and has a strong desire to meet new people and make new friends. Occasionally she feels like she missed out on having a better social life because of her training, so if given the opportunity to mingle, she'll take it. Sylvia trusts easily -- perhaps a little too easily -- even after everything that happened during her time as an Agent. She genuinely tries to see the good in people and wants to believe that the people she knows mean well.

Furthermore, if you're on her good side and you need someone to get the job done (sometimes in...questionable ways), Sylvia's your girl. When people ask things of her that are important, she'll do whatever she can to see it through. For example, when Cai was alive, she'd often ask Sylvia to run errands for the team such as picking up groceries and getting their tools repaired. As these were necessities the team needed, Sylvia was diligent about making sure these errands were taken care of right away. She's also prepared to fight for her comrades and have their backs when they need her. It's something she used to pride herself on up until Cai died.

Abilities & Skills:

Speed - Sylvia's best stat. She's actually pretty fast for an ordinary human and good on her feet. This allows her to maneuver her way through sticky situations, dodge powerful hits, and chase down her targets successfully. That dodging part is especially important, because she is what one would call a "glass cannon". She hits hard but also falls really easily.

Strength - While this isn't her greatest stat, she is considerably strong, especially in her legs. She can deliver kicks that are considered powerful for an average human. She's also got good endurance due to all her years of training and staying fit.

Combat - She has experience in hand-to-hand combat. No weapons experience, but she's pretty good with fighting with her fists.

Tools and Other Items - Sylvia's experiences as an Agent taught her how to use various tools, such as grappling hooks and lock picks.

Other Skills - Memorization, dressing people up, making impulsive decisions, going turbo.

Inventory/Companions:

1. The clothes on her back
2. Her cellphone (50% battery)
3. Earbuds

Choice: Monster - Puca
Reason: Sylvia is not going to know how to handle being a Puca, aesthetically. She's a fan of the ears because they're adorable, but the fur on her limbs? Nah fam. She likes to look cute and that fur, in her opinion, is not going to look very good on her. Thanks, Aefenglom!!! Other than superficial stuff though, Sylvia's most notable stat is her speed. She's got strong legs, too. Puca are quick -- quicker than she ever was as an ordinary human -- and she's absolutely a thrill-seeker both canonically and as a Puca, so she's going to love being speedy. Gotta go fast.
